Born on Third Base #1
This book has given me a new perspective on the way I look at what I have accomplished. I was also impressed when he gave up his inheritance. I honestly don't think I could have done the same, and I feel many people wouldn't either and that makes his argument so much stronger. I also found that some of the small stories he uses to explain the privilege where very interesting and helpful. For example, I liked his comparison of privilege to the wind that helps you bike faster. You don't realize it is there, but it helps you get so much further.
I was not born in the US, but I have the privilege to study here. After this book, I am beginning to understand that I am here today because I have been influenced by the privilege Panama experienced while the US was stationed there. The US brought a legacy that has allowed me to receive a great education and has allowed my father to prosper in business to get me here.

I was also very impressed by the fact that he gave up the trust fund. Im also willing to say that almost everyone in that situation would have decided to keep it. It speaks volumes about the type of man the author is. I want to see what he has next in store as a way to tackle the problem
